Bicyclist In Critical Condition After Struck By Car In Elmont, Police Say
NCPD says the man was struck Thursday night.
ELMONT, NY — A 53-year-old bicyclist is in critical condition after he was struck by a car in Elmont Thursday night, police said.
Nassau County police said at approximately 9:55 p.m., the man was traveling near the intersection of Plainfield Avenue and Elmont Road when he was struck by a 2006 Honda Civic being driven by a 30-year-old man traveling southbound on Plainfield Avenue.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
