Long Island’s 4th Cava Gets Green Acres Lease Approved: Town

The Town of Hempstead approved a lease for a Cava at Green Acres Mall this week.

VALLEY STREAM, NY — The fourth Cava location on Long Island cleared another hurdle toward opening this week after the Town of Hempstead’s industrial development agency approved a lease for the Mediterranean restaurant chain at Green Acres Mall, the IDA announced.

Per the IDA, the Cava will move into a 2,100 square-foot space at the mall, employing 18 full-time-equivalent employees at a salary rate of $18.50 an hour. The lease was approved at the IDA’s meeting this week, but the location has no opening date scheduled, the IDA said.

While the lease is still subject to execution, it would be the fourth Cava on Long Island, joining storefronts in East Northport, Melville and Westbury.
