Florida Woman Charged In Connection With $50K Swipe From Cerebral Palsy Association In Roosevelt: Police

It happened back in May, Nassau police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Florida woman has been arrested in connection with swiping around $50,000 from the account of Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County in Roosevelt back in May, Nassau police say.

The association located in Roosevelt was contacted by whom they believed to be a representative of M & T Bank, regarding their account, and the victim provided the requested account information, according to police.

On May 13, 2026, the victim was contacted by M & T Bank that there were 21 attempted wire transfers totaling $1,029,132.40, of which $50,314.00 was successfully transferred out of their business account, police said.

After a thorough investigation, Nicole Ramirez, 28, of Orlando, surrendered herself to the First Precinct for arrest
processing, according to police. She is charged with second-degree grand larceny, and will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
