A Freeport man will be arraigned Friday after police said he exposed himself to a five-year-old girl and her mother while they shopped.
FREEPORT, NY — A Freeport man is being charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child this week after police said he exposed himself to a five-year-old girl and her mother while they were shopping at Marshalls.
Nassau County police said Thursday that 32-year-old Rory Anderson had been arrested after an incident that took place on Jul. 29 at 8:30 p.m. in the Marshalls on East Sunrise Highway in Freeport. In that incident, police said the five-year-old “noticed an unknown male exposing his genitals” and immediately notified her mother, who called police.
After an investigation, police said they arrested Anderson. Anderson’s arraignment is scheduled for arraignment Friday on one count of public lewdness and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. Police have also encouraged anyone who thinks they may have been victimized by Anderson to call 911 or call crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
