🎷 The Harlem Jazz Series Presents: T.K. Blue🎷

We're thrilled to announce that the legendary saxophonist and flautist T.K. Blue (Talib Kibwe) will grace the stage at the Harlem Jazz Series on May 22, 2026! Born Eugene Rhynie in the Bronx to Trinidadian and Jamaican parents, T.K. Blue has spent decades weaving together the musical threads of the African diaspora—blending hard bop sophistication with Caribbean rhythms, calypso grooves, and pan-African melodies. With over 85 recordings to his name and mentorship from jazz giants like Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, and Billy Taylor, Blue's artistry transcends borders and generations.

His three-year collaboration with South African piano master Abdullah Ibrahim deepened his commitment to pan-African musical expression, a vision that continues to define his work today. Whether he's delivering hard-driving bebop lines on saxophone, exploring lyrical passages on flute, or incorporating the kalimba into his sonic palette, T.K. Blue creates music that honors the past while speaking powerfully to the present. This is more than a performance—it's a celebration of jazz as a living, breathing connection across continents and cultures.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience one of jazz's most important pan-African voices live in Harlem! Mark your calendars for May 22, 2026.

Tickets: $30
