Jackie Robinson Day Festival Returns To Manhattan Park
NYC Parks hosts the fifth annual celebration Saturday with music, games and tributes to the baseball and civil rights legend.
HARLEM, NY — NYC Parks will host its fifth annual Jackie Robinson Day Festival this weekend at Jackie Robinson Recreation Center, offering a free afternoon of family-friendly activities honoring the baseball pioneer and civil rights icon.
The event is set for Saturday, April 18, from noon to 4 p.m. at the recreation center, located at 85 Bradhurst Ave. in Harlem.
Organizers say the festival celebrates the legacy of Jackie Robinson, who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier in 1947 and maintained deep ties to Harlem as an athlete, activist, businessman and family man.

Attendees can expect a mix of live music, games, and arts and crafts, along with a dedicated Kids Zone featuring jumbo games and hands-on activities.
Event organizers say community and media partners, including 94.7 The Block, Anthem, the Harlem Pickleball Association and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, are supporting this year’s celebration.
