Join us for a talk with film historian Glenn Andreiev exploring Theodore Roosevelt's film presence, featuring rare film clips dating from 1897, showing Roosevelt in action for the next twenty years, even in early cartoons. The 26th President of the United States, Oyster Bay's own Theodore Roosevelt, wowed early movie-goers with his energetic, magnetic on-screen persona. Only a fraction of the near 200 short films of Roosevelt survive. "You shook hands with Roosevelt, and hear him talk, then you went home to wring the personality out of your clothes." Registration is required.
