Huntington Station Deli Hit With 12 Health Code Violations: Police

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — The manager of a Huntington Station deli was cited Friday night after authorities found multiple violations during an inspection prompted by a community complaint, Suffolk County Police said.

Second Precinct Crime Section officers, along with representatives from the New York State Liquor Authority, Suffolk County Department of Health, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal’s Office and the town’s ordinance inspector, conducted an inspection at Las Lajas Deli, 156 Depot Road, at about 9:55 p.m., police said.

Authorities observed numerous violations during the inspection, according to police.

The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued three violations and one criminal summons, police said.

The deli’s manager, Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 45, of Huntington Station, was also cited for one violation of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Law and 12 health code violations, police said.

The Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and Suffolk County Board of Health are expected to conduct further investigations into the establishment, police said.
