Huntington Station Man Guilty Of Sexually Abusing Daughter, Stepdaughter: DA

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A 40-year-old Huntington Station man was convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing his stepdaughter and biological daughter when they were children, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said Friday.

The defendant, whose name is being withheld by prosecutors to protect the identities of the children, was convicted Thursday following a jury trial before Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen Wilutis.

Jurors found him guilty of one count of first-degree course of sexual conduct, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, according to prosecutors.

The defendant faces up to 46 years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 6, the DA's office said.

Prosecutors said the defendant first showed his stepdaughter pornographic videos when she was about 6 years old.

Shortly after the girl's 10th birthday in December 2020, the defendant began sexually abusing her, prosecutors said. The abuse continued through July 2021, according to the DA's office.

In early 2022, the girl's mother made the defendant leave the home after relatives raised concerns about his behavior toward the child, prosecutors said.

Three years later, the defendant sought visits with his biological daughter, and the child's mother allowed the visits, according to prosecutors.

The defendant began sexually abusing his daughter in April 2025, when she was 10 years old, prosecutors said.

The abuse continued until July 2025, when a family member discovered a diary entry describing what had happened, according to the DA's office. The family member notified the child's mother, who contacted police.

The defendant was arrested July 22, 2025.

The defendant is represented by attorney Lindsay Henry, who was not immediately available for comment.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer seeking custody of the defendant following the prosecution, according to the DA's office. Prosecutors identified him as a Honduran national.

“The defendant used the trust and access given to a father to prey on his two young daughters. A jury has now held him accountable,” Tierney said in a statement. “Nothing can undo what these children endured, but I hope the brave young victims find solace in knowing that the defendant will not be in a position to harm them or another child again.”
