Crime Report: Damaged Cars, Library Mischief and Larceny

Recent police activity in Levittown as reported by the 8th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Thomas A. Castora, 32, of Levittown, was arrested at King Kullen for larceny of two cases of Snapple valued at $23.98 at 6 p.m. on April 5.
  • A victim on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown reported an unknown person broke the rear passenger window of his vehicle at 4:30 p.m. on April 9.
  •  A victim on Saddler Lane reported finding white latex paint thrown all over her vehicle that was parked in her driveway at 2 a.m. April 10.
  • John J. Francescon, 42, of Levittown, was arrested at Target for larceny of assorted merchandise valued at $875.05 at 8:10 p.m. on April 10.
  • A complainant reported an unknown person sprayed the exterior door of the Levittown Public Library with red paint at 3 a.m. April 11.
  • David J. Rumpf, 23, of Farmingdale, was arrested at Kohl's for larceny of a DVD valued at $32.57 at 10:15 p.m. on April 13.
  • Joseph Conticelli, 25, of Levittown, was arrested for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree on April 13 after being in a vehicle with two other men where officers found a loaded rifle and heroin.
