LFD Puts Out Dryer Fire in Southberry Lane Home

The Levittown Fire Department responded to a report of
a house fire on Southberry Lane at 11:32 a.m. Thursday.

Arriving units found a fire in the dryer that was starting to extend into the room. Fire fighters used a water extinguisher to contain the fire as Engine 623
stretched one hose line and extinguished the fire before it could spread.

Fire fighters removed the units from the home. The fire did not extend to
the second floor. The fire room was overhauled by additional crews and no injuries were reported.
