Queens Man With Texas Warrant Arrested After Multiple Burglaries Across LI, Illegally In U.S., Police Say

NCPD says the man is subject to removal proceedings.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — A Queens man was arrested on Tuesday night after multiple burglaries occurred throughout Nassau County, police said.

Nassau County police said the man was arrested at 9:15 p.m. on May 5 after an extensive investigation.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Mario Hurtado Galindo, 37, of Queens, unlawfully entered various residences in New Hyde Park, Westbury, Bethpage, Woodmere, and Roslyn Heights, police said. He removed jewelry, designer handbags, and money, NCPD said.

He was charged with six counts of second-degree burglary, six counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and has an arrest warrant for burglary out of Richmond, Texas, NCPD said.

According to police, he is illegally in the U.S. and is subject to removal proceedings. He was arraigned on May 6 at First District Court in Hempstead, NCPD said.
