Pedestrian Struck And Injured By Jeep In Medford: Police

The incident took place at around 8:30 p.m. on Jamaica Avenue, Suffolk police say.

MEDFORD, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a Jeep and injured in Medford on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.

A 46-year-old woman driving of a 2026 Jeep was making a left turn from Route 112 onto Jamaica Avenue, when she struck a 68-year-old man crossing southbound on the east side of Jamaica Avenue at Route 112, against the signal, according to police.

The man was taken to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
