Police say they found electronic gambling machines and cash in the back of a Nassau County fish market Wednesday night.

ROOSEVELT, NY — A Freeport man was arrested Wednesday night and faces criminal charges after police say they found unlicensed electronic gambling machines in the back of a fish market in Roosevelt.

Nassau County police said 29-year-old Rafael Osorio was issued two appearance tickets — one under state Alcoholic Beverage Control law and the other under Town of Hempstead public assembly license law — after police conducted an inspection at Nassau Fish Market in Roosevelt.

Upon inspection, police found four electronic gambling machines with a total of $4,134 cash inside, all of which was taken from the fish market, police said. Osorio is due back in court June 29, police said.
