With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. UNIONDALE, NY — A 39-year-old man is in critical condition Friday after he was struck by a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder on Jerusalem Avenue, police said. Nassau County police said the unidentified man was walking north across Jerusalem Avenue when the Pathfinder traveling west struck him at 10:13 p.m. According to police, the 45-year-old man driving the Pathfinder remained at the scene while the pedestrian he struck was taken to the hospital. The pedestrian remains in critical condition while an investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said. Police did not report any arrests or charges related to the crash Friday morning.
