Dangerous Cold Temps Trigger School Delays, Remote Learning Across The Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Extremely low temperatures are prompting some school districts to put the safety of staff and students ahead of the a.m. bell.

As of 6:50 a.m., a small number of Hudson Valley schools decided to delay the start of classes, or switch to remote instruction, on Monday. This list will be updated throughout the morning.

• Ellenville CSD: 2-hour delay
• George Grant Mason School (Tuxedo UFSD): remote instruction
• Kingston CSD: 2-hour delay
• Middletown Christian SDA: 2-hour delay
• Middletown CSD: 2-hour delay
• North Park Elementary School (Hyde Park CSD): 2-hour delay due to power outage
• Rockland CSD (Livingston Manor CSD/Roscoe CSD): 2-hour delay
• Rondout Valley CSD: 2-hour delay
