Multi-Agency Sting Leads To Crack, Fentanyl Seizure, Cash, 2 Arrests: NYSP
Four law enforcement agencies participated in the joint search warrant operation on North Bridge Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A multi-agency drug sting disrupted Dutchess County drug trafficking operation, according to police.
On Monday, members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), in conjunction with the Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and the City of Poughkeepsie Neighborhood Recovery Unit (NRU), conducted a joint search warrant operation on North Bridge Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
The operation resulted in the arrests of Christopher Talbert, 32, also known as “Wavey,” and Siata L. Mahoney, 32, according to police.

As a result of the sting, investigators seized approximately 234.8 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 43.25 grams of Fentanyl, approximately $2,812 in cash, cellular phones, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale, according to NYSP.
Talbert and Mahoney were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and two counts each of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Talbert and Mahoney were arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.
