School Delays, Schedule Changes For Wednesday As Deep Freeze Follows Winter Storm

As the region continues to dig out from winter storm Fern, some schools are making adjustments to keep students and staff safe.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Things are slowly getting back to normal in the Hudson Valley, but dangerous cold temperatures, and the lingering effects of the weekend's massive snowfall, have some schools in our region adjusting schedules.

As of Wednesday morning, these Hudson Valley schools have adjusted their schedule due to the weather conditions.

  • Dutchess Day School: 2-hour delay
  • Garrison UFSD: regular schedule; inclement weather bus stops will continue
  • Millbrook CSD: 2-hour delay
  • Newburgh ECSD: 3-hour delay
  • Poughkeepsie CSD: 3-hour delay; early release has been canceled
