2 NYC Locations Make Best Ice Cream Shops In US List: New Rankings

NEW YORK CITY — Two ice cream shops in New York City were recently ranked among best in the nation, according to a new list from Beli.

Using more than 100 million ratings from its users, Beli released a list of the top 12 ice cream and gelato shops in the U.S.

The food review app allows users to upload pictures of their food, note where they've eaten and leave other comments to share with fellow users.

Landing in number 3 spot is Caffè Panna in Manhattan. The Italian inspired ice cream and coffee shop in Gramercy Park is known for its daily changing flavors

Rivareno Gelato in SoHo was ranked the 12th best location in the nation.

The gelato shop uses only the freshest, highest quality ingredients and all the gelato is made fresh daily in the gelato production lab attached to every store, according to its website.

Taking the top spot in this year's list is Ferris Acres Creamery in Newtown, CT.

The Newtown creamery is known for its rotating flavors and regular favorites like "Bada Bing" made with almond and chocolate ice cream, dark chocolate chunks and cherries.

Notable options also include the Campfire and The MJ Rell.
