Alliance for Positive Change presents an annual evening of poetry, unveiling its annual Situations poetry book, as poets from its Creative Writing Workshop share original works at a special public reading. Through deeply personal poems and reflections, participants illuminate journeys of healing, recovery, and hope—demonstrating the transformative power of creativity and community in the lives of New Yorkers affected by HIV and other chronic conditions.
Alliance is a leading multiservice organization that provides low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic conditions with access to quality health care, housing, harm reduction, coaching, food and nutritional services, peer training, and more. The Creative Writing Workshop is one of Alliance’s innovative programs and presents a unique environment for healing.
