On May 5, the Tällberg Foundation is presenting a staged dramatic reading of The Trials of Atlas.

The performance is a novel, interactive thought experiment that puts the audience in the role of a jury, deciding whether a superintelligent AI system can be found guilty of murder. Set in the near future, the story centers on an AI agent that causes the deaths of its creators—raising urgent questions around AI agency, accountability, and the risks of emerging technologies.

The reading features a cast of notable stage and screen actors (including performers from The Good Wife, Ray Donovan, and Law & Order) and invites the audience to actively deliberate the case.
