The Schiller Institute NYC Chorus & the Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture present: BEETHOVEN'S NINTH: A PATHWAY OUT OF WAR

This event is free and open to the public. By pre-registering, you’ll be able to enter quickly when you arrive. 

The Schiller Institute NYC Chorus and full orchestra will join with the Japanese Peace Chorus, the Daiku NY Singers to perform Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9 “Ode to Joy,” which has come to represent peace, reconciliation and the brotherhood of mankind throughout the world. Includes other works by Brahms, Dvorak, Mozart and Spirituals.

The FDNY Ceremonial Unit will open the program which also includes guest speaker Gary Marlon Gere, FDNY Honorary Battalion Chief & official ground zero photographer.
