The Inaugural Astoria Mile is Coming to 31st Avenue!
Queens Distance Runners, in collaboration with the 31st Avenue Open Street Coalition, is proud to introduce the Inaugural Astoria Mile, a celebration of community, fitness, and one of Queens' most vibrant neighborhoods.
Known for producing some of New York City's most welcoming and well-organized community races, Queens Distance Runners is excited to bring our signature mile format to Astoria. Whether you're chasing a personal best, racing with friends, introducing your child to their first finish line, or simply looking for a fun morning outdoors, there's a place for everyone.
The course will take place entirely on 31st Avenue Open Street, creating a safe, spectator-friendly atmosphere where neighbors, families, and local businesses can come together to celebrate healthy living and community pride.
From first-time runners to competitive athletes, every participant will experience the same welcoming environment that has made Queens Distance Runners one of New York City's fastest-growing grassroots running organizations.
