MTA Chair Janno Lieber joins WNYC’s “On The Way” for an in-depth conversation on the country’s largest mass transit system. Lieber is the 14th person to run the transit agency, but only the fourth person to hold the job for more than five years. He joins WNYC transportation and infrastructure editor Clayton Guse in The Greene Space to discuss what the transit agency means to New York and the future of the transportation networks used by millions of people every day.
“On The Way” is WNYC’s transit-focused radio segment and weekly newsletter, covering the latest news in the world of transportation, from the subway and buses to e-bikes and Amtrak. Beginning on Thursday, November 12, “On The Way” will also have a pop-up weekly radio show, featuring transportation reporters from the WNYC and Gothamist newsroom alongside local decisionmakers and experts and listener calls and questions. The show will continue each Thursday at 1pm ET through the end of the year.
In person tickets are $10-25; a free livestream is available with advance registration.
