Flag With 2 Swastikas Raised Above NYU Building: NYPD
The flag was spotted during NYU's annual Grad Alley event on Wednesday.

NEW YORK CITY — A flag with two swastikas was seen lying above a New York University building in Greenwich Village on Wednesday, police said on Thursday.
A flag hanging from 50 West Fourth St featuring a Star of David was discovered with two swastikas around 5 p.m.
NYU campus safety officers removed the flag after the incident.

A spokesperson for the university said the school is “shocked and deeply troubled” by Wednesday's incident, and they are working closely with the NYPD to identify whoever is responsible.
“We are one community. We protect each other, and we will not let hate and division find a foothold on our campus,” the university said in a statement.

The incident was first reported by NYU's independent student newspaper, Washington Square News.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.
