Train Tickets To MetLife Stadium During World Cup Will Cost $150: Report
An average round trip ticket from Penn Station to MetLife Stadium is $12.90.
NEW YORK CITY — Soccer fans with tickets to World Cup games at MetLife Stadium will be charged $150 for a round trip ticket from New Penn Station, according to a report.
The $150 figure was confirmed by the Athletic on Friday, the price is steeper than the previous reported $100 round trip ticket.
An average round trip ticket from Penn Station to MetLife Stadium is $12.90 — meaning a ticket during the World Cup games will be over eleven times more expensive.

In addition, the New York City/New Jersey joint host committee disclosed that a cheaper alternative — an $80 bus service will be available during the games.
According to the report, there are no reduced prices for children, senior or disabled passengers.

New Jersey governor Mikie Sherrill criticized the pricing earlier in the week, adding that NJ PATH commuters should carry burden of the increased costs during the World Cup.
Sherrill called on FIFA to cover the reported $48 million gap in transportation costs. According to the report, the decision has been made to relay the cost to World Cup fans rather than local taxpayers.
Bus tickets went on sale on Friday while train tickets to MetLife Stadium will go on sale on May 13.
