USA Today Just Named This NYC Spot As The Best Beach Bar In The Country: See Where

NEW YORK CITY — A popular New York City bar was named the best beach bar in the United States, according to a new USA Today list.

USA Today recently released its 10 Best Beach Bars in the United States list and Bungalow Bar on Rockaway Beach took the top spot — beating bars in South Carolina, Florida and New Jersey.

"Perched at the foot of the Crossbay Bridge with Jamaica Bay glittering on one side and the New York City skyline winking in the distance, this year-round waterfront spot is Queens' best argument for playing hooky. Fish tacos, crab cakes, and sriracha oysters fuel long afternoons on the sprawling bay-side patio, while servers in "Coldest Beer in Queens" shirts make good on that promise. Weekend DJs and live music keep the party going well past sunset," USA Today wrote about Bungalow Bar.

Bungalow Bar features a cocktail menu that includes margaritas, huckleberry lemonade and a peach basil breeze.

New Yorkers can enjoy Lobster rolls, steak and other barbecue dishes.

The bar also has a rotating lineup of live music and DJ's throughout the week.
