A cozy fire, fleece pajamas and a hot cup of cocoa – all provide much-needed warmth during the blustery, cold winter months. But nothing offers more comfort and hope than the promise of enjoying Girl Scout Cookies! Girl Scouts of Connecticut today launched its official 2026 Girl Scout Cookie season across the state. The public is now able to order the delicious cookies from Girl Scouts-both in-person and online. Last year, Girl Scouts of Connecticut members sold more than 1.7 million packages of cookies and are seeking to increase that total this season.

“Our cookie season is always met with such excitement among the Connecticut community as it’s truly a time to replace cold snaps with cookie stacks,” said Elicia Pegues Spearman, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “At the same time, Girl Scouts learn to work as a team to accomplish goals, while building confidence in their individual abilities.”

Spearman notes that this 100% girl-led entrepreneurship program also teaches the important fundamentals of goal setting, decision making, business ethics, people skills and money management and as such, helps shape the next generation of female business leaders.

The roster of tasty treats that the nonprofit is offering this year includes the new ExploremoresTM, Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Trefoils®, Lemon-Ups®, Adventurefuls® and gluten-free Toffee-tastic®. Each variety costs $6 per package.

There are several ways to get Girl Scout Cookies: customers can place their orders with a registered Girl Scout or purchase cookies through her Digital Cookie® online storefront, with options for direct shipping or pre-order delivery in March. Cookies are also available by visiting www.gsofct.org and using the “Find Cookies” tool to locate a troop nearby.

Businesses can also invite a Girl Scout troop to their workplace for a cookie “pitch,” giving girls hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and public speaking while building meaningful community connections. For assistance, GSOFCT’s Customer Care team can be reached at (800) 922-2770.

For those looking to give back, the Girl Scout cookie Gift of Caring program- also known as Cookies for Heroes – allows customers to donate packages of cookies to active military men and women, veterans, and local community heroes. Nearly 90,000 packages of cookies were donated through the program last year.

Girl Scout Cookies arrive in Connecticut on March 14, 2026, at which time, all pre-orders will be fulfilled to customers, and troops throughout the state will set up cookie booths in their local communities until the end of April.

Spearman explains that each troop sets its own financial goals during Cookie Season with some selling the packages for amazing group activities and trips, and others to participate in outdoor adventures at the various Girl Scout camps, including Camp An-Se-Ox in Oxford, Camp Aspetuck in Weston, Camp Clatter Valley in New Milford, Camp Yankee Trails in Tolland, and Camp Merrie-Wood in Manchester.

Troops also raise funds to support badge activities around the four program pillars: Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, STEAM, and Outdoors as well as community service projects.

“All proceeds from the Girl Scout Cookie program stay in Connecticut, directly supporting leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community-based programming for Girl Scouts,” said Spearman. “When you buy cookies from a Girl Scout, you’re helping her build confidence, skills, and a brighter future.”
