WCFR to Honor Dr. Clovis Raymond as 2026 Lifesaving Partner of the Year

Dr. Clovis Raymond, psychiatrist, educator, author and Army veteran, will be honored at WCFR's 15th Anniversary Gala on Sept. 19.

Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. (WCFR) is proud to announce Dr. Clovis Raymond, MD, as the recipient of its 2026 Lifesaving Partner of the Year Award.

Dr. Raymond will be honored during WCFR’s 15th Anniversary & Fundraising Gala on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Hotel Nyack – JDV by Hyatt in Nyack, New York.

A Distinguished Career in Healthcare and Service

Dr. Raymond is a dual board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and serves as Chief of Psychiatry and Medical Director at Rockland Psychiatric Center in New York. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University.

His commitment to service extends beyond healthcare. Dr. Raymond is a retired Major in the United States Army Reserve and served in Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Throughout his career, Dr. Raymond has dedicated himself to advancing mental health care, education, patient safety, and community service. In addition to overseeing psychiatric services, he mentors healthcare professionals, teaches future clinicians, and serves on clinical and administrative committees focused on improving patient care and safety.

Dr. Raymond is also the founder of Services For Preferred Medical Patients, LLC, a private psychiatric practice serving children, adolescents, and adults.

His dedication to mental health and resilience extends to his work as an author. Dr. Raymond wrote The Sparks That Endure: Why Our Core Human Drives Survive Mental Illness, which explores resilience, recovery, and the enduring strengths that define the human experience.

The 2026 gala is especially significant as WCFR celebrates 15 years of “Teaching People, Saving Lives.” Since its founding, the nonprofit organization has worked to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training while supporting scholarships, health education, emergency preparedness, and community outreach.

The Caribbean-themed anniversary celebration will bring together healthcare leaders, community partners, sponsors, supporters, honorees, and friends of WCFR for an evening of recognition, dinner, entertainment, networking, and celebration.
