From July 10th through 19th the Friends of the New Rochelle Jazz Festival present Jazz in July, two weekends of great jazz in the Queen City. On Sunday, July 12th the Lee Hogans Quartet will perform from 4 to 6 pm as part of NRCA’s Jazz at the Station series. (NR train station, 2nd floor).
Trumpeter, composer, and producer Lee Hogans is a New Rochelle-based artist whose career has taken him around the world, performing with icons including Prince, Jay-Z, Marcus Miller, Maceo Parker, and Jill Scott, while contributing to Grammy-nominated recordings. Founder of WiLeeHo Music, Lee blends a deep respect for jazz tradition with a contemporary creative voice. This special New Rochelle Jazz Festival performance features beloved jazz standards, original compositions, and a tribute celebrating the centennial birthdays of jazz legends Miles Davis and John Coltrane, whose music continues to inspire generations of artists and audiences worldwide.
