New Rochelle Boys & Girls Club Golf Outing, 'Be Great Gala' Ready To Tee Off
Mariano and Clara Rivera, Terry Clements, Keith Watkins and Sheldon Pride will be honored at the fundraiser.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Lace up your golf shoes, because it's time to hit the links and support a great cause at the same time.
The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle will host its Annual Golf Outing and Be Great Gala on May 5 at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, with proceeds supporting Club programs and services. The organization said tickets, sponsorships and journal ad opportunities are available through its website.
The daylong fundraiser will honor Mariano Rivera and Clara Rivera, Westchester County Legislator Terry Clements, City School District of New Rochelle Facilities Director Keith Watkins and former Board President Sheldon Pride. According to the announcement, the event will celebrate community leadership and support youth development programs that benefited more than 12,166 youths in 2025.

The day begins with brunch at 11 a.m. at Wykagyl Country Club, 1195 North Ave., followed by a 1 p.m. golf tee time and the Be Great Gala at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can take part in the golf outing, the evening gala or both. The Club said this year’s event will have a Cinco de Mayo theme.
"This day is more than a celebration; it's a powerful opportunity for our community to come together in support of young people and the programs that help them thrive," Becky Mazzanobile, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, said in the announcement. "When you invest in the Club, and attend our Golf Outing and Be Great Gala, you're investing in academic success, strong leadership and brighter futures for thousands of youths across Westchester County."

The Club said the gala, supported by The Clark Family, will also recognize 2026 Youth of the Year Leslie Rodriguez and 2025 Youth of the Year Sean Merlo, who the organization said received a Boys & Girls Clubs of America Sparkle Scholarship Award for college expenses. Guests will also see a youth performance, a live auction, a Giving Tree for direct contributions and youth participants from the Career Workforce Development Pathways program.
According to the announcement, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle grew from serving more than 10,000 youths in 2024 to more than 12,000 youths in 2025. The organization cited recent milestones including career pathway cohorts through the Mariano Rivera Workforce Learning and Career Center, recognition from Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a community wellness expo and honors from the Westchester County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
The Club said every dollar raised through the outing and gala underwrites mentorship, academic enrichment, leadership development, career readiness, civics, arts, athletics and wellness programs. Tickets, sponsorship opportunities and journal advertisements are available here.
