Bayville Boat Driver Hospitalized After Onboard Medical Emergency: PD
A man was hospitalized Tuesday night after suffering a medical emergency while on a boat off the shores of Bayville, police say.
BAYVILLE, NY — A64-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday night after suffering a medical emergency on a boat in the Long Island Sound off the shores of Bayville, police said.
Nassau County police said the call came in at 10:26 p.m. with reports that the man was suffering from a medical emergency. Once the call came in, police said Nassau County Aviation, the county marine bureau and Town of Oyster Bay constables scrambled to the boat and brought the man ashore.
Police did not say the nature of the medical emergency, only that the man was hospitalized for evaluation and treatment in an NCPD ambulance. Police did not list the condition he was in Tuesday.
