Patchogue-Medford High School Hosts National Signing Day Ceremony
Five Raiders Student-Athletes Recognized

MEDFORD, NEW YORK—In honor of National Signing Day, Patchogue-Medford High School recently held a ceremony to celebrate five student-athletes who officially committed to continue their academic and athletic careers at NCAA Division I and Division II collegiate institutions.
“This milestone highlights the strength of our athletic programs and our commitment to supporting student success on and off the field,” said Patchogue-Medford School District Chairperson of Physical Education, Health, and Athletics Danielle Steinberg. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Board of Education, Interim Superintendent Lori Cannetti, District and Patchogue-Medford High School administrators, and dedicated coaches who joined us to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of these student-athletes.”
National Signing Day is an annual observance that recognizes high school seniors signing to officially athletically compete for NCAA Division I and Division II colleges. This year, Patchogue-Medford High School celebrated Sophia Fox, Colin Jennings, Kayla Newman, Addison Ruland, and Hailey Stratton.

Following their planned graduation from Patchogue-Medford High School, Sophia will play field hockey for the East Stroudsburg University, Colin will compete on the cross country and track and field teams at Canisius University, Kayla will be a member of the University of South Carolina dance team, Addison will play lacrosse for the United States Military Academy at West Point, and Hailey will play lacrosse for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
