Body Of Bear Mountain Bridge Jumper Recovered From Hudson River: NYSP
Police have confirmed the sad ending to the tragic events that played out earlier this month at the Hudson Valley landmark.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — A sad chapter in a desperate case of hopelessness has ended with the recovery of a body from the Hudson.
On Aug. 2, at approximately 10:08 a.m., troopers assigned to the Haverstraw barracks responded to a report of a man who had jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge.
Investigators said that the 20-year-old parked his vehicle on the eastbound side of the Bear Mountain Bridge before jumping from the bridge. The New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team responded to the scene, but the victim was not immediately located.

On August. 6, the victim's body was recovered from the Hudson River by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office.
