Cortlandt Manor Grad Named to PGA WORKS Fellowship Class for 2026-27
The recent SUNY Oneonta graduate has been named as the Metropolitan PGA Section PGA Works Fellow.

CORTLANDT MANOR, NY — A Cortlandt Manor resident is among the 23 recent college and university graduates selected for the 2026-27 class of PGA WORKS Fellows.
Owen Pressman of Cortlandt Manor, a SUNY Oneonta graduate, was announced as the Metropolitan PGA Section PGA Works Fellow. The foundation said the fellowship class will receive hands-on experience through paid placements tied to PGA of America Section foundation operations.
The PGA Works Fellowship was established in 2017. The program provides what the foundation described as a paid immersion in a PGA of America Section’s Foundation operations. PGA Sections oversee 41 regions of the PGA of America across the United States and was conceived to help create a network of communication and community for PGA of America Golf Professionals and amateur golfers nationwide.

The foundation said the primary responsibilities of the 23 fellows are to support and execute philanthropic initiatives for the charitable foundations of their respective PGA Sections. That work includes assisting with marketing, communications and fundraising activities, along with PGA HOPE programming for Veterans and junior golf initiatives such as PGA Jr. League and Drive, Chip & Putt. Fellows also provide operations assistance for Section tournaments and special events, according to the release.
“The PGA Works Fellowship is the perfect opportunity to earn impactful, real-life experience working in the golf industry,” said PGA of America Acting President Nathan Charnes, PGA. “We are proud to welcome the 2026-27 class to their respective PGA Sections. Our PGA WORKS Fellows are the future leaders of the golf industry and their fellowship will equip them with the skills and attributes needed for a successful and fulfilling career.”

As part of the program’s mission, fellows are encouraged to continue careers in golf after their fellowships with access to PGA of America Career Consultants and mentors, according to the release. Since the fellowship began, 82 percent of fellows secure full-time employment upon completion of their fellowship, and 83 percent of those jobs are within the golf industry, the foundation said.
The release also said past fellows have gone on to work for Titleist, PGA Sections, the First Tee, the USGA, APGA and the PGA Tour, while others continued their education or attained PGA of America membership.
