Search On For Suspect In Swipe Of Dyson Fan Worth Around $500 From Home Goods In Port Jefferson Station: PD

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect they say swiped a Dyson fan worth around $500 from Home Goods in Port Jefferson Station on Aug. 17.

A man swiped the merchandise from the Nesconset Highway location at around 7:35 p.m., according to police.

In images from security video, the man can be seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark-colored baggy pants, and a light-colored Yankees baseball cap.

Officers from the 6th Precinct's Crime Section in Selden are investigating the incident as petty larceny, according to a police news release.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
