8 Saved From 62-Foot Vessel Taking On Water Off Long Island: Police
Five agencies responded, including North Hempstead's Bay Constables, U.S. Coast Guard, Rye police, and FDNY's Marine Bureau, police say.
SANDS POINT, NY — Eight people aboard a 62-foot vessel taking on water were rescued near Success Rock off Sands Point on Long Island on Friday night, Nassau police said.
The department's Marine Bureau was called to the scene at around 7 p.m., according to police.
In addition to Nassau police, four other agencies responded, including, the Town of North Hempstead Bay
Constables, United States Coast Guard, Rye Police Department Marine Bureau, and the Fire Department of New York's Marine Bureau.

All passengers were safely brought back to shore by Nassau County Marine 3 with no injuries reported, police said.
