Jean Grey Returned Through No Fault Of Her Own, Awaits New Home
The feline's previous family discovered a child had allergies and brought her back to the Port Washington shelter.
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — After what was supposed to be her forever home, Jean Gray is back at the shelter through no fault of her own.
The four-year-old cat was returned to North Shore Animal League America's Port Washington campus just a few days ago after a child in her previous home developed allergies.
Jean may take some time to warm up, but shelter staff say she has a softer side that comes out with patience and gentle attention. Once comfortable, she enjoys getting pets and curling up by her person's feet.

The feline has striking green eyes and a black-and-white coat. She is fearful of dogs, so shelter staff says she would do best in a dog-free home.
She is currently waiting at North Shore Animal League America's Port Washington campus for a new family.
