5 Shot, 1 Dead Overnight In Westchester, 15-Year-Old Suspect In Custody
A 20-year-old died. Victims, ages 16, 15, 15, and 14, are hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to Yonkers police.
YONKERS, NY — An overnight shooting left four wounded and one dead in Westchester County.
The Yonkers Police Department said it is investigating a fatal shooting that took place at 8:43 p.m. on Sunday, at Elm Street and Palisade Avenue.
Five victims were hit by gunfire, including a 20-year-old who was pronounced dead after suffering a gunshot wound to his back. The remaining four victims, ages 16, 15, 15, and 14, sustained gunshot wounds and remain hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to police.

A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody at the scene in connection to the shooting. Investigators say they recovered a loaded firearm and ballistic evidence.
Police said this was a targeted incident, and there is not a believed ongoing threat to the public.
