Former Hastings student Phil Weiser (and my first campaign manager) is now Governor-elect of Colorado

Former Hastings student is now Colorado Governor elect (he was my first campaign manager)....today's student will also be our nations leaders!
I first met Phil Weiser when he was a student residing in Hastings. Thirty-five years ago, he managed my first campaign for Greenburgh Town Supervisor. He went on to earn a law degree from NYU. He then clerked for US Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Byron White. Phil later became Dean of the University of Colorado Law School, was elected as Colorado Attorney General. On Tuesday he became Governor-elect of Colorado.

I bring this up because there are many students who we have honored at Greenburgh Town Board meetings who remind me of a young Phil Weiser. Some of the students may eventually be Governors, Senators, Nobel Prize and Pulitzer Prize winners. They are brilliant students and will be future leaders of our nation.
Please watch the interview below with our student news network reporters who interviewed Senator Andrea Stewart Cousins. Wonder if any of the student journalists who participated in this interview will eventually win a Pulitzer Prize!

The Greenburgh Student News Network (GSNN) is a student-run news platform that gives local students hands-on experience in journalism and video production. If you are a student in Westchester interested in reporting, filming, or joining the GSNN team, please contact fellow student Armita Mojazza at armitamojazza@gmail.com or text 914-837-0078 to get involved!"
The first show the student journalists produced was an interview with State Senator Andrea Stewart Cousins.
