A few weeks ago, I announced plans to organize a job club for unemployed recent college graduates who are facing a difficult time finding work. Our first planning meeting will be held this Monday, September 28 at Greenburgh Town Hall, 177 Hillside Ave, WHitte Plains at 3 PM to 4 PM. The purpose of the club is to help young people stay connected, build skills and transition into careers instead of being discouraged by a difficult hiring environment. I decided to form the club after speaking with recent graduates and their parents. We will offer monthly workshops dealing with different aspects of the job search: civil service exams, using AI tools productively, understanding what skills are in demand. Helping people find work through personal connections. I expect to bring together local employers, alumni, entrepreneurs, and professionals to work with those who join the club. And will share tips. The purpose of the meeting on Monday will be to discuss with volunteers and participants how we could be most helpful to those needing assistance. Looking for ideas on how we can make this a useful program . One doesn't have to pre- register for the club.
