Early Morning Fire Damages Trio Of Hempstead Homes: Police
Police say the blaze broke out at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
HEMPSTEAD, NY. — Residents of three Hempstead properties saw their homes damaged in the early hours of Thursday morning when a house fire broke out on Oak Avenue, police said.
Nassau County police said the county fire marshal and the NCPD arson bomb squad responded to the scene of a blaze that started at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, causing significant damage to the house that caught fire and moderate damage to two neighboring homes.
The Red Cross also responded to the scene of the fire, the cause of which police said is undetermined, to provide aid to the displaced Oak Avenue residents, police said. Thursday morning, police did not say how many residents were displaced in the blaze.
