Port Chester Man Arrested On Child Endangerment, Sex Abuse Charges After Troubling Incident At Park: Police
The arrest came on Tuesday, after what the department described as a monthlong investigation by its Detective Bureau.

RYE, NY— An investigation into a troubling incident at a Sound Shore park has resulted in charges against a Westchester man, according to police.
Detectives arrested the Port Chester man in connection with the disturbing incident involving a juvenile at Rye Town Park, according to the City of Rye Police Department. Manuel Lazala, 24, of Port Chester, was arrested on Tuesday, after what the department described as a monthlong investigation by its Detective Bureau.
According to the police department, Lazala was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

Lazala was processed at Rye Police Department Headquarters, arraigned, and taken to the Westchester County Jail. He is scheduled to return to Rye City Court on Sept. 8, according to the department.
"Due to the nature of the incident and to protect the privacy of the juvenile involved, no further information will be released at this time," Rye police said in a statement.
