Bayport-Blue Point Students Celebrate Moving Up Milestones

Fifth and eighth graders marked new beginnings during ceremonies across the district.

BAYPORT-BLUE POINT, NY — Students in the Bayport-Blue Point School District celebrated an important milestone during moving up ceremonies held for fifth graders at Sylvan Avenue, Blue Point and Academy Street elementary schools, as well as eighth graders at James Wilson Young Middle School.

Surrounded by proud family members, teachers and administrators, students were recognized for their academic, artistic, athletic and personal growth as they prepare to take the next step in their educational journeys.

Fifth graders were honored as they move on to James Wilson Young Middle School, while the district’s eighth graders marked their transition to Bayport-Blue Point High School.

The ceremonies were filled with applause and heartfelt moments as each school congratulated students on their accomplishments and wished them continued success in the years ahead.
