BAYPORT, NY — Disney villains are taking over Camp Edey this Halloween as the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County prepare to host their "Ghoul Scout Halloween Happenin'" on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The family-friendly celebration, themed "Rise of the Villains," will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. at Camp Edey, located at 1500 Lakeview Ave. in Bayport.

This year's festivities are inspired by Disney's "Descendants" franchise and the Isle of the Lost, a fictional home to Disney villains and their children.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes for an afternoon and evening filled with themed games, crafts and seasonal activities.

From 3 to 6 p.m., families can participate in a costume contest, themed arts and crafts, a poison apple toss, boating and archery. A photo booth will also be available.

As darkness falls, the celebration will shift to nighttime activities from 6 to 9 p.m., including the "Villains Unleashed Spooky Trail," a "Descendants" movie marathon, marshmallow roasting around a fire pit and glow-in-the-dark games.

New this year, visitors planning to explore the Spooky Trail must reserve a specific time slot when purchasing admission. The reservation is free, but space is limited, and each person entering the trail must have a reservation.

For younger children or those seeking a less frightening experience, the event will offer "Baby Bird" trail sessions at 6 and 6:30 p.m., featuring a toned-down version of the scares.

Online admission costs $20 for registered Girl Scouts, $25 for children who are not Girl Scouts and $10 for adults, before processing fees. Admission is free for children younger than 4.

Pumpkin painting and archery are available for an additional $5 each, before fees. Archery is limited to participants in third grade and above.

Families who purchase tickets by Oct. 13 can also add a complimentary commemorative event patch to their online order, while supplies last. The offer is limited to the first 300 patches.

Admission includes access to both daytime and nighttime festivities.

Tickets and additional information are available through the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County website.
