Event Brings Together 34 Schools Across Suffolk County
Lincoln Avenue Elementary School in Sayville recently welcomed fourth and fifth grade student-athletes from across Suffolk County for the annual Fit Club event, hosted by the Suffolk Zone of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD). The event brought together students from 34 schools for a day centered on health, fitness, teamwork, and positive engagement.
“We were proud to welcome so many students, educators, and volunteers to Lincoln Avenue for this year’s Fit Club event,” Dominic Armano, Lincoln Avenue Elementary School principal, said. “The day was filled with energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see students supporting one another while participating in healthy and engaging activities.”
Throughout the day, participants rotated through a variety of wellness, physical activity, and team-building activities designed to promote healthy lifestyles, cooperation, and school spirit. Students worked together in a fun and supportive environment while building connections with peers from neighboring school districts.
