• LI Man Rescued From Sinking Boat Charged With BWI: Police (patch.com) — Boaters and beachgoers in Sayville may have noticed emergency activity after police rescued a Patchogue man from a sinking boat in the Great South Bay off the hamlet Tuesday night. Marine Bureau officers pulled him from the vessel, then charged him with boating while intoxicated, with arraignment scheduled in Central Islip.
