Free Drone Show, Concert Planned At Smithtown Beach

SMITHTOWN, NY — Vehicle reservations are now open for Smithtown’s America 250 Drone Show and Classic Rock Concert at Callahan’s Beach, town officials announced.

The free event is scheduled for July 3, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Gates will open at 3 p.m.

The celebration, presented by the Smithtown America 250 Committee in partnership with Cosentino Companies, will feature NY to Boston, a Long Island-based American classic rock tribute band, along with KTU DJ Tommy Nappi, food trucks and a patriotic drone show over Callahan’s Beach.

Admission is free for Smithtown residents, but all attendees must reserve a vehicle ticket in advance to access parking. Space is limited, and vehicle reservations will be required for entry, officials said.

“Smithtown has a rich history surrounding our Nation’s founding, and this event reflects the pride we carry forward today — it is more than a concert or a drone show, it is a celebration of who we are as a community and as Americans,” Supervisor Ed Wehrheim said. “We have always honored our veterans, our first responders, our families, and the freedoms that unite us, and we are excited to bring residents together at Callahan’s Beach for an unforgettable evening of music, patriotism, and community pride.”

The event will take place at Callahan’s Beach, on Callahan’s Beach Road in Fort Salonga, just off Route 25A.

Residents are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, family and friends.
