Sagaponack Home Owned By Billy Joel Sold For $19 Million

Billy Joel sold his oceanfront home on 9 Gibson Lane in Sagaponack for $19 million on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The property, sold by Nancy Mizrahl of Saunders and Associates, was 5,550-square-feet on 1.07 acre of land and the home had four bedrooms and six bathrooms, according to the Saunders and Associates website.

The home, built in 1994, also had a 180-degree ocean view, 145 feet of beachfront and a permit for a pool, 27east reports.

According to Newsday, Joel tried to sell the house two times before, first in 2009 for $22.5 million and again last year for $23.5 million.

Joel purchased it from late actor Roy Scheider (”Jaws”) in 2007, according to 27east.
