Hudson Valley Man Killed In Weekend Dirt Bike Crash In CT: Police

A 21-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed when the dirt bike he was operating crashed Sunday evening along train tracks in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Waterbury Police Sgt. Joseph Morais said the one-vehicle accident happened around 5:19 p.m. near a span of train tracks off of Yale Street.

Responding police officers found the victim lying on the ground beside a dirt bike and showing signs of “severe bodily trauma,” police said.

Police identified the victim as Jose Eduardo, 21, of Carmel, New York. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

According to police, the victim was operating a dirt bike on the train tracks when he lost control and crashed into a concrete wall attached to a railroad bridge.
